INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR NEW BENGAL KITTEN

Our kittens will be ready to go at 12-16 weeks depending on their size and maturity. By then they will have had the recommended vaccines, deworming, veterinary exam and health certificate. Your kitten should be examined by your veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival so they are familiar with the kitten. Spaying or neutering will come later, at 4-6 months.

You will want to prepare your home before your kitten arrives!

Make sure you have gotten the suggested food, dishes, liter box and liter. The best place for your kitten is a small room (extra bathroom or laundry).  Just a large enough area for food  & water, liter box, and toys. We suggest leaving their carrier with the door open once they arrive for a ‘ hide’.

Remember kittens play, jump and climb so make sure this room, and the rest of the house, is safe. Kittens will adapt to just about anything. Just remember to give them time to adapt to your home.  All of the sounds and smells will be different than they have experienced with us. It is not unusual for them to not eat well for a day or so. Remember, they’ve just left their brothers, sisters and mom!

Spend as much time as you can in their room to let them understand you are their new person!  They will connect you with attention, food, and play.  Then after a few days,  slowly introduce them to the rest of the family and other rooms and pets, carefully monitoring  their comfort level as to not overwhelm them.

Cats are fastidious. So liter boxes should be cleaned daily and bleached weekly.  Bengals like water so you may have company around sinks and showers and find yourself with a wet kitten!

Our pet kittens range in price and will have a spay/neuter contract.

We will hold the kitten’s TICA papers until that has been completed. Once you have chosen your kitten and placed a deposit it will be held for you.

Deposits are non-refundable.

The balance of the purchase price will be paid when the kitten goes home.
